We have learned a lot of new material this quarter in math.

Just look at all that you have learned! I am very proud of each of you.

Comparing and ordering numbers
- Positive and negative integers
- Decimals

Division
- Expressing remainders three different ways
Whole numbers (5 R2)
Fractions (5 ½)
Decimals (5.5)

Multi-step word problems

Transformations
- Translation
- Rotation
- Reflection

Classifying Angles
- Acute
- Right
- Obtuse
- Straight

Classifying Triangles
- By their angles
Acute
Right
Obtuse

- By their sides
Equilateral
Isosceles
Scalene

During Core Extension today I have two questions and I would like you to take some time reflecting and writing about.

Question #1
Reflecting on this quarter which one of these concepts do you do find the easiest? Why do you think it is so easy? What else would you like to learn about this topic?

Question #2
Reflecting on this quarter which one of these concepts do you do find the most difficult? Why do you think it is so difficult? What can you do to help you learn this concept better? What can I do to help you?

Thank you,
Mr. Ferrell

Question 1. Translations because I have learned them begore and I know some tricks to memorize them easier.

Question 2. Division. I am ok with it, but I still need help with it. We should do more division things to help me.

1. I think the easiest lesson was classifing triangles and angles. The way you helped me remember was by watching the videos.
2. the hardest lesson was multiplying and dividing decmals but the computer games and the white boards are starting to help me figure them out and put the decimal in the right place.

1. the easiest 4 me is transformations. Its easy because I've known this 4 a long time. And I don't think theres much more I can learn about it.

2. Multistep word problems R the hardest for me because its hard for me 2 figure out what #'s 2 devide & multiply

1. I found the transformations the easiest because i learned them last year so i knew them. I would like to review many of the transformations at a time.

2. I didn't have trouble with any but dividing decimalswould of had to be the most challenging because i just learned it and it just was a little challenging at first. I can practice to get better and just try again if i dont get it. Mr.Ferrel could help by just reviewing it a little bit.

Question1: Translations were the
easiest of all of math.

Question2: Doing tables was really
hard to learn but I got it all right.

Question #1: I feel transformations are the easiest because all I have to do is memorize the names of the trnsformations. I want to learn what ever else there is to learn about the topic.

Question #2: Doing division with decimals is the hardest thing for me. Somtimes I put the decimal in the wrong place on my answer or when doing the problem so my answer is wrong.

Question#1: I think that angles and triangles where the most easy, I think that it was easy because you added fun to the learning, that deffinatly makes it easier, and helps me pay more atention. I dont realy want to learn more. (I know all I need)

Question#2: I'm not sure what was hardest for me, I relly had an easy time understanding it all.

Edward #10 #1 The easyest thing is mutipuction cuse it is. #2 The hardest thing is dividing decimels cus i dont know how to do it.

1. The easiest thing this quarter in math is transformations because all you do is see if it is a rotation a reflection or a translation. The thing that I woul like to learn more in the transformation is 4 way transformation.

2. The hardest thing that I learned this quarter in math is dividing with decimals. The reason I think that is the harddest thing is because I can never get the decimal in the rite place. To improve on this is getting help from an older brother or sister and practice alot.

Question 1: I think the easiest thing for me in math this quarter is divison. It's really simple just to put the remainders in three different types of forms. It's really fast and esay to learn you just have to keep on trying.

Question 2: The most difficult thing for me is comparing and ordering decimals. I think it's difficult because theres so many numbers on the decimal side and it get's confusing to me. One thing you can do to help me is to give me more practice sheets.

1. i think the easiest thing in math this quarter is probably dividing decimals and doing it in 3 remainders. i picked because im good at dividing and its not hard to figure out. I don't think that there is anything that i need to know beside this bacause i can challenge myself.

2. positive and negative interegers is the hardest. its difficult because you can get mixed up between the two and the decimals in them are really confusing. the thing to make it not so hard is not to bore me!!!

Question 1: I think ordering decimals is easiest. It is easy because all you have to do is look at about 2 numbers. I want to learn more about changing decimals to fractions.
Question 2: I think multiplying decimals is hardest for me. It is hard because sometimes I do not know where I am and it gets all confusing, so if you could help me find a way that I can organize my work so I can understand it.

Question 1:I think the transformatios were the easiest step out of all of them, because
all you have to do is see if the shape moved, rotaded,or fliped.

Question 2:Out of these I think the division is the hardest, because theres alot of number in division problems that you can get mixed up with. I can start to write them down and check them twice before iI answar it or write it down. My teacher can help by giving me permission to let me use my white board wich will make it easier, because the white board is easier to write on and the other numbers can't confuse me because I can just erase them easily if they are.

Question #2:I think division is the hardest for me I think I need to study on it.

Question1: I think none of them are hard at all but I do want more practice on them so I can be an expert.
Question2: the one I still want practice on would be devision.

Question 1: I'd have to say the easiest thing we learned in Math this quarter is Classifying Triangles by its sides and its angles. I'd like to know if you can classify triangles by anything else besides its sides and its angles.

Question 2: I'd have to say the difficult thing we learned in Math this quarter is Multi-step word problems. I think its the most difficult because to me it doesn't make sence to me. I can help my self by asking my parents and Mr.Ferrell. Mr.Ferrell can help me by making it understanding to me and other classmates.

Question 1. I think that transformation is the easiest mathmatic stuff we have gone over. This is the easiest because I already knew how to do this since last year in the 5th grade. This topic is really boring so i would not like to learn anymore of transformations.
Question 2. the hardest mathmatical thing to do in the first quarter was dividing decimals.becuase of moving the decimals over to make it easier.nothing really but it is just harder to do.
