2Q Math Concepts

During the second quarter we are going to learn many new concepts in math. Here is a preview of what is coming:

Add, subtract, and multiply fractions and mixed numbers expressing in simplest form.

Know and explain the relationships between percents, decimals, and fractions.

Compare and order fractions.

Solve real-world problems by applying these measurement formulas:
Perimeter of polygons
Area of squares, rectangles, and triangles

Estimate to check whether or not the result of a real-world problem is reasonable.

Looking ahead at the second quarter:

What do you think will be the most challenging concept for you? Why do you think that it will be challenging?

What do you think will be the easiest for you? Why do you think it will come easily?

Thank you,
Mr. Ferrell

1. I think the hardest one for me will be multiplying fractions because I really do not know much about it or how to do it.

2. The easiest thing for me to understand most next quarter is probably comparing and ordering fractions because I already have lots of experiance with that and I really know how to do it.

Edward #10 I think that find perimeter and area will be the easyest and estimate to check whether or not result or a real world problem is reasonable.

1. I think that the hardest concept will be know and explain relationships with decimals and Fractionhs and percents, Because I never had heard of it before and I dont know what they are.
2. I think the esaiest concept will be finding the perimeter and area because will learned a lot about that last year.

#1 I rhink the hardest 1 4 me will B the perscents bevause I don't know what it is

#2 the easiest will B the perimiter & area because I've
known this 4 a long time

Easy - I think finding the perimeter and area will be the easiest because I learn about it a few years ago.

Hard - I think it will be hard to know and explain the relationships between percents, decimals, and fractions because I haven't really even heard about it before.

Easy: Add, subtract, and multiply fractions and mixed numbers expressing in simplest form.

I have absolutly no idea how to mutiply and I don't even know what simplest form realy is, but i do know how to add them and subtract them.

Hard: Estimate to check whether or not the result of a real-world problem is reasonable.

I have no idea how to estimate to check my answers, I have studied a little bit about it in fifth grade, but not very much.

1. I think that the thing that will be the hardest is probably to know how to explain the relatoinships between percents, decimals, and fractions. Because i dont know a lot about any of them.

2. I think the easiest would be add, subtract, and multiply fractions expressing in simplest form. Becasue i know how to do it.

1. I think the hardest thing for me would be finding percents. Because i don't know that much about percents and changing numbers into percents.

2. The easiest thing for me would be perimeter and area. Because I have been studying perimeter and area since 2nd grade and i know a lot about it.

I think that the hardest thing will be to Know and explain the relationships between percents, decimals, and fractions. because some can be very tricky

I think that the easyest is going to be Compare and order fractions.beacause I know it vagly alredy.

Question 1. I think that explaining relationships between fractoins, decimals, and percentages becuase it is the only thing i don't know yet.

Question 2. I think that finding the perimeter of polygons and finding the area of squares, rectangles, and traingles is the easiest becuase i already know how to do most of that stuff already.

The easiest thing was Area and perimiter because I realy caught on to it.

The hardest thing was estamate to check whether or not the result of a real world problem is resonable I didn't cetch on.

1. My most challenging concept for next quarter is Solve real-world problems by applying measurement formulas: Perimeter of polygons
Area of squares, rectangles, and triangles. The reason it would be the most challening for me is because I have no idea how to find the Perimeter of polygons and the Area of squares, rectangles, and triangles.

2. The easiest concept for next quarter is Add,Subtract, and multiply fractions and mixed numbers expressing in simplest form. I think this is the easiest for me because i've done it before and it was so hard at first in the 4th grade but now it's become so easy for me in the 5th grade and now 6th grade in the 2nd quarter.

#1 I think that relationships between percents, decimals, and fractions well be the hardist because i know a little bet about percents.

#2 I think that Perimeter of polygons
Area of squares, rectangles, and triangles well be the easy because we know about area and perimeter.

The hardest for me will probably be Know and explain Relationships between fractions, decimals, and percents because i never herd of it befor.

#02

The easiest one for me will probably be Find perimeter and area of polygons Because i learned it in 4th and 5th grade.

I think that the hardest thing for me to learn is going to be ordering and compareing fractions. I think that it will be hard because I really have know experience with any of that.

I think that finding perimeter and area in a polygon will be the easiest to learn because I learned alot of that through my life and I have alot of experience.

1.I think the most challenging thing will be to find the perimeter of polygons because I don't know how to do it.
2.The easiest thing will be to estimate because I've done it in other grades.

The easest for me will be perimeter and area because I new it since 2nd gradso that's why it's easy.

The hardest for me is going to be comparing and ordering fractions because I never learned them not even a bit so it's going to be hard.

Finding the percents becuse i havent done it befor.

finding the primeter would be the easist.

1. I think comparing and ordering fractions will be the hardest thing to learn because their fractions and fractions have two number in each fraction and all sorts of different things.

2. I think knowing how to explain the relationship with fractions, decimals, and percents will be the easiest because I allready learnt some of it.

i thank precents, decimals, and fractions are the hardes becaues i dont no a bunch about them.

finding the perimeter and area is the easyest becaues you need to do is solv it

1. I think multiplying and devideing fractions and mixed numbers are the hardest to me.
The reason to why that is hard is becouse I dont know how to 2. The easyest thing would be compare and order fractions. Why thats easy is becouse I know that once you look at the denomenator and its large that means its the smallest.

1. Explain your favorite part about this project - I just loved using the cameras!

2. Describe any struggles you had with this assignment - We did not have enough time to record and edit.

3. How did this project further your understanding of the events surrounding Caesar's assassination? - I understand how the plebians felt.
